Just wanted to say hey from an old listener
I stopped listening to the show a couple years ago because I went off to college and didn't have the time. I also went away from Linux at that time and started using Windows 7 because of a need for MS Office. Now that summer is here and I'm on my vacation, I've been listening to some recent episodes...

Re: Sound Issues
I'm not a podcaster so I have no idea. I listen to quite a few podcasts that have perfectly acceptable audio quality in a wide range of fidelity so I know it can be done. I listen to a lot of podcasts as well and I would like to let you into a little secret: TLLTS is not a podcast, it's a live radi...

Re: Bill Gates seems to hate America.
This thread is stupid. The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has been doing great work for years inside and outside of America. The idea that Bill Gates "seems to hate America" is utter nonsense. It's his money, if he wants to help out people in poorer countries that's fantastic and his prerogative....

Re: FLOSS Adding OGG
So Leo states that it costs $350k to run the TWIT network and he made $1.5 million: http://paidcontent.org/article/419-weekend-viewing-ona09-leo-laporte-on-/ So why the f*** does the community need to do his work and host his files for him ?!?! I'm with you Pat. There's no reason why Leo can't do t...

Slackware 13.0 released, features 64-bit support
After one of the most intensive periods of development in Slackware's history, the long awaited stable release of Slackware 13.0 is ready. This release brings with it many major changes since Slackware 12.2, including a completely reworked collection of X packages (a configuration file for X is no ...

Re: Shining example of Mac idiots
Oh please. If there were a LinuxMania cruise everyone here would jump at the chance to go if they had the money. Leo likes macs, and he has gone on various cruises for years, since the TechTV days. I fail to see what's wrong with this or why Leo is an idiot.

Congrats on episode 300
Hey guys, I just wanted to drop in and congratulate everyone. I haven't listened to the show much over the last six months or so because I've been so busy with school and work. Now that summer is here I plan on catching up on some of the past shows. Any good ones or interviews I need to listen to? A...

Re: Why do Christians disobey Jesus?
Where did you find these commandments? It's not in the last bible I actually cracked open. Better check again... We know that we have come to know [Jesus] if we obey his commands. The man who says, "I know him," but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not with him. But I tell y...

Why do Christians disobey Jesus?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x-slAgzJmdU&NR=1 Jesus' Commandments: 1 - Love your enemies 2 - Sell everything you own 3 - Abandon your family 4 - Cut off your hand and gouge your eye out 5 - Drink poison Anyone who disobeys Jesus is not a Christian and they will burn in hell according to scripture....

Re: Happy Winter Solstice
Atheists believe in all sorts of things: freedom, human rights, democracy, justice, equality, etc ...and Christianity is the basis for those here in America. You would not be able to enjoy these in America if it weren't for the Judeo-Christian beliefs that many of our leaders have held over the pas...
