Ok, i will look into getting a server setup...i didnt think i needed that for what im doing... Also, i went tried this new line of code and it told me to type the following: smbclient -V (which i did and it brought up the version info like the tutorial said it would if my samba was installed correct...

Ok, so i try to find the vnc directory and there is not one there when i do an ls, all that is there is the vnc-4.0-1.i386.rpm. So, i try to make the directory vnc-4.0-1.i386.rpm myself, but it is saying that it (the vnc-4...)exists but is not a directory....so i cant do anything w/it anymore now! A...

Ok so installed using the rpm, heres what i did: 1) i became root 2) i did an ls to find my vnc-4.0-1.i386.rpm 3) then i did an ls vnc-4.0-1.i386.rpm 4) then i did the rpm -ivh vnc-4.0-1.i38.rpm then the computer said: preparing..... 1:vnc ######### [100%] ######### [100%] and that is all that happe...

Ive downloaded the sources for REALVNC then go to a terminal and type in the ls i get this: vnc-4.0-1.nosrc.rpm so then i tried to download a .tar version and that did nothing when i went to do tar xvf source.tar.gz...it says again no such file or directory!!!

Yes, this homepage is local to each machine...it needs to be on every computer!
And yes, all of these links and "sublinks" need to show up as well...this is how and where they would type in a problem, or view any info they may need!

Im looking for a good client antivirus to test and install on my linux machine...my boss wants it to be free...is there any good ones out there?? Ive looked around found some..but they are mainly for home users only and not to deploy on numerous workstations. Any ideas or thoughts??

OK now that i understand scripting vs programming......thanks to everyone!
