Re: Microsoft breaks HotMail for Linux users?

I too have just come up against this problem - and have managed to get around it with the user agent switcher.

To be honest, this is probably the push that I needed to bin the hotmail account anyway, despite the fact that I've had it since '98.

The phone I have is called 'E-310-U'. There's no other branding on it at all, and there's nothing on the packaging to hint as to the manufacturer.

Here' where I got it:

USB Phones

Hi everyone, I was just wandering whether anyone else on here uses a USB phone for their VoIP calls on their linux boxes? And if so, which one's you were using. I recently bought one (only a really cheap one), and although the audio works fine - the buttons on the phone don't work when it's connecte...

Hi there,

some interesting points there. I can definitely confirm that the dell helpdesk monkey got them to do a re-install, as he got my brother in law to boot from the cd, thus destroying all the decent work that I had done.

oh well....

Unbelievably bad advice from Dell!

Hi everyone, I've got to get this rant of my chest, because I cannot believe that it's actually happened. It will just add more momentum to the wave of unhappiness against MS and the big manufacturers as it it were needed - but here it comes... So my Sister and my brother in law wanted to get a new ...

Hi, not sure if this helps, but here goes... In a former life I was the IT manager for a couple of reasonable size call centres (about 50 seats each), and we used to run a proprietry CTI server (Avaya) on a windows NT box which basically does the exact same thing that you are doing. When a call come...

I've just got the chance to use that command, and it works a treat. Thanks! Interestingly, there is no mention of this command in my RedHat ES4 bible, and I find that a bit suprising as it's such a handy tool. My 'teach yourself linux in 10 minutes' book that I bought for a couple of quid from ebay ...

Hi everyone, Just to let you know that I there's one more linux user in the world as of tonight! My mate James who is not really into computing at all got given his Dad's old PC (a 400Mhz box with 192Mb RAM and a 10Gb drive) running win '98. It kept on crashing, and running like a complete dog - so ...

Hi,

Thanks for that.

I've not used the ln command before - I'll look it up when I get home. Will that 'remount' if I reboot the box, or will it have to be done manually each time?

Thanks again for your help.

Regards,

Hi there,

Thanks for the reply, and apologies for my vagueness relating to the mounting query.

What I'm trying to achieve is to have a subfolder of my home directory mounted to a folder on the new 200Gb drive.

I hope this makes sense.

Thanks,

Hi everyone, I've just got a KVM switch in my home office which is great because it means that I can use my centos box most of the time now without having to either VNC to it, or move the cables across from the XP machine. Also, I've just put in a 200Gb drive along with the 40 that was in there alre...

I run centos4.4 on my webserver, and it's great!

I tried slackware last year (10.2) and it was really fast - but there was quite a lot of effort involved!

I upgraded my RH9 webserver to Centos4.4 earlier this year, and have never looked back. It's fantastic!

Stick on webmin & phpMyAdmin and it's seriously easy to administer as well.

Hi everyone, Just to let you know that I got this sorted last night. Basically the problem was that the kernel in my distro didn't have the MPPE encryption built in, so I needed to install that seperately. Now it's up and running, and works like a dream! I definitely recommend giving it a go if you ...
