Re: higher bit rate ogg file
If you decide to do a higher bit rate ogg, please continue to do the current ogg file and add an extra feed. My portable media plays most oggs just fine, but choked on the ones created by Pat. I know I can re-encode to a lower bitrate, but I would prefer to just copy the audio file as is.

1/1/1900 issue according to Microsoft

It seems like it is not Microsoft's fault. Instead it is because of Lotus 1-2-3. lol
Now we know who to blame for the "new" standard in OOXML.

That brings me back
When I was in college, I worked at the computer lab and remember the old Macs crashing. They had a car crash sound complete with screeching brakes to accompany any system crash. That and the silly little bomb.

Das Keyboard
I use this keyboard at work.

It is well-weighting with good "clicking" noises. Plus, the reaction on people's faces the first time they try to type is priceless.

Work on Broadcom wireless, too!
I found this recently. It is a good sign for all of the Broadcom wireless owners (including Mac airports)

Greasemaps?

It automatically creates a box on the top of the page where you can click to get a map of all addresses on the page. The recognition of addresses is low (too many false positives), but true addresses are mapped well.

What about someone from this company?

I was browsing tuxmobile.org and found this vendor. Seems like a pretty neat device.

I use firefox and subscribe to the rss feed.
I use it to keep up with new developments in software. Sometimes I will find an interesting project listed and read about it and maybe install it from my distro's repository.
