VMware ESX and it's Linux seed in the enterprise.

I'm actually doing a lot of work with VMware ESX and SAN's in enterprise. What is interesting to know is that the VMware ESX uses a linux bootstrap to install/configure and start the proper ESX kernel that runs the virtual machines. ESX 2.5.2 (current release) uses the Red Hat 7.2 distro as it's boo...

Good soundcard for Linux (decent price)

What is a good or excellent soundcard for Linux ?
Something that maybe can support 4.1 output or AC3 ?

It seems that Creative's line of soundcard since it's Audigy 2 cards are no longer supported under Linux ?

Maybe you can add the names, titles and urls of what you are playing on the shows here... A good start for more music is from the Crea...

Novell & OpenExchange (to track in 2005)

Guys, you mentioned in your last Podcast the best Linux things in 2004, and you talked about Novell and Ximian/SuSE. I think there is another interesting thing to follow with Novell in 2005. It's their implementation of OPEN-XCHANGE http://mirror.open-xchange.org/ox/EN/community/ and calling it the ...

Keep it secure, keep it safe... phpbb 2.0.11 and php 4/5

Great :-) it looks that your forum is running the latest release of phpbb 2.0.11 that is secure from the Sanity.a worm, which is taking advantage of Google to find other php/phpbb web sites to infect. This is just one part of the secure IT process. Making sure your own systems are secured and up-to-...
