Re: Episode 06 - Nvidia Ion Build

Hey Pat

What version of the nVidia drivers are you using 180, 185, or 190?

What do you have in your playback profile for Primary Deinterlacer?

I know you said the performance was excellent but I was wondering if that was on a 1920x1080 large LCD?

Thanks, PLA

@patdavila

I wish I'd seen the case you bought before I purchased this http://is.gd/3sdia a few months ago.

From what store did you purchase your M350 micro case?

Thanks, PLA

Re: Episode 07 - MythTV 0.22 Preview

Sorry for the misunderstanding. That is an HDHomerun configuration tool found here: http://www.silicondust.com/downloads/linux Obviously you are not understanding what I am wanting to know. I don't want to know what you are recording. You show a screen capture of a application showing your tuner inf...

@kwisher If you mean my "Recent MythTV Recordings" in the left hand column, that is a blog widget displaying the RSS feed from my PLAMythTV Identi.ca user, http://identi.ca/plamythtv. I have a MythTV user job defined that runs the following command to post dents after a recording. wget -O /dev/null ...

@kwisher I assume you are talking about my screen scrapes on my blog. In Ubuntu I just press Alt and PrtSc keys simultaneously, Ubuntu displays the Save Screenshot dialog, and I save it as a PNG image.

Here is my blog post about my large antenna in my attic. I was using just a small UHF antenna until PBS switched to VHF. http://platechnotes.patrickarchibald.com/2009/05/uhfvhf-outdoor-antenna-works-fine-in.html The HDHomerun is great. I highly recommend it. I wish there was a network attached devic...

Re: Which distro will be the first to include MythTV 0.22?

Mythbuntu Karmic Alpha 5 with .22 download is here: http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/mythbuntu/releases/karmic/alpha-5/ It doesn't play well with .21. I tried it out on my laptop. I couldn't get it to talk to my .21 backend although I didn't spend much time with it. I plan on doing a fresh install of Karmi...

Re: Episode 07 - MythTV 0.22 Preview

Just a comment on the HDHomerun. I have no problems recording two streams simultaneously from the HDHomerun. I'm using Jean-Yves Avenard's patches for VDPAU. I don't know if something in those patches fixes that bug about only being able to record one show at a time with the HDHomerun. http://www.av...
