I was able to watch Netflix streaming this morning on a windows box on firefox with no Silverlight or flash. The requirements page on the Netflix site has changed to reflect this:

Still doesn't work on a Linux machine.

Guys, is it not some fed regulation that they have to provide the cards for a fee if requested by a customer who os willing to pay a subscription. Or am I confusing this with the firewire port rule? Looking at the downloadable brochure for this product I see there is a slot for your providers cable card. If my provider is not providing these type of cards can the device still be used as a standard QAM device as my current tuners do? If no cable card is provided it will act as a QAM tuner. Howe...

We're recording an new episode tonight. We interviewing the founder and CTO of Silicon Dust. We're also planning on doing another episode within 1-2 weeks after. Sorry for the down time. I've been buried at work the last few months and have family commitments.

The device is supported in MythTV as of 0.24: http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Silicondust_HDHomeRun_Prime Finally we get cablecard support in Linux!! Netflix is coming soon, the apocalypse is upon us :) What we can actually record with the HDHomerun Prime is entirely dependent on what channels are marked...
