Tivo wins appeal versus Echostar on patent infringing

What is this going to mean for MythTV? Apparently the patent that was infriged was "time warping" which basically any DVR does. I kind of make this analogous to having a patent on the rewind button functionality on a CD/DVD player. Not sure what to make of it.

Absolutely nothing. MythTV is open source community project. Not a commercial entity. The cable companies and commercial media applications (SageTV, Windows Media Center) are the ones who'll get impacted.
