Ubuntu 10.04/MythTv .23 mythfilldatabase weirdness

Post by kwisher » Sat Jul 03, 2010 9:42 am

Hello,

In the last week I have noticed that mythfilldatabase has not been running on its normal daily schedule. Today when I looked at MythWeb>Status, I seen that it had 13 days of programming and its next time to run was set for yesterday. Anyone else noticing this? Where can I start looking for the problem?

TIA

I've noticed the same thing. The first time I noticed it, there was only three days of schedule remaining.

After doing a clean re-install last weekend the problem seems to be fixed now. The reason for the re-install was not due to the mythfilldatabase problem but my attempt at using the new Linux Mint Debian release as a replacement for my Ubuntu/Myth boxes. Getting the main backend/frontend working wasn't a problem except I never did get my remote/lirc working. The main reason I went back to Ubuntu was due to not being able to get my secondary backend to connect to the master. I am sure it can be done but I ran out of patience with the new fall TV season getting ready to start.
