After their successful lawsuit against Dish Network they're now going after AT&T and Verizon:

We really need major software patent reform in this country.

No kidding. It seems that once these companies can no longer make money on their solutions, they turn into patent trolls (aka SCO). You'd think they would realize that this only tarnishes their name, but their blind greed gets in the way I guess...

And now Echostar has been ordered to pay an additional $200 million to Tivo for continuing infringements:
