QAM listings seem a bit off

Post by lobosolo » Mon Nov 30, 2009 11:50 pm

has anyone run into this problem.
i setup my Qam channels through the mythweb interface and everything seems fine, i keep a spreadsheet on it and have doubled checked my XMLID numbers. so for the first 4 days everything is fine.

but this Thursday at midnight all of my QAM channels are off in that the ABC channel is now showing listings for FOX, NBC is showing things for ABC.... etc etc. for 2 days in the schedule its like this, then after those two days its back to its correct lineup.

I'm not really sure where to start looking. is there a way to flush all the channel listings and then run mythfill cleanly or does the mythfill command over write the previous copy or just insert new data ?

thanks for any insight,

a quick follow up.
Wednesdays listings were o.k but Thursday & Friday were off. so on Wednesday the guide did an auto update at 1230pm and now Thursdays is correct.

here is the kicker, Friday and Saturday are now mixed up.
its like the guide data is locked into the wrong channel lineup for the two days ahead of the current day. its bizarre.

Very odd. Perhaps the cable company moved the channels around? It does happen. You could rescan from mythtv-setup and re-tweak your channel table via mythweb.

i'm going to wait and see what happens today. i have a Suggested next mythfilldatabase run: 2009-12-03 10:41.
so if it corrects tomorrow, but pushes out a scrambled lineup for two days out, then i may just have to bite the bullet and delete all cards and redo the entire backend on the weekend.

re doing the backend has become pretty easy after doing it enough times :?

it seemed a lot easier in mythbuntu 8.10 where i could just scan the full cable, now i'm a little confused on where to scan for qam in 9.10. it was slower, but it found everything.

You shouldn't have to nuke everything. In mythtv-setup you can go into the entry for that card and go to the page where the scanning button is. Generally you can go into any of the setup screens and just hit next, next till you find the the page you need.
