i too used to get the show in OGG and then use factoryformat to convert it to mp3 and then tag it as a podcast in order to listen to it on my zune ( yes i admit i bought a zune

80$ in a woot off and i though it would be hacked by now) anyway.. i just found out an easier way to do it, at least for me.
i have a motorolla droid and i added the google listen app, its lets you subscribe in google reader and will then automatically sync with my android device without any need for converting. admittedly you need and android device. the best thing is i dont have to be tethered to a pc to update my shows, i can stream them over the 3G network....

Yeah. It is nice downloading oggcasts over the air. I use DoggCatcher on my Nexus One. It is a good app. There was something I didn't like about Google Listen but I can't remember what it was. I'm happy with DoggCatcher.
Rock on, PLA

The Listen app just added Google Reader management in the last 2 weeks and is a fantastic addition. I initially used Google Listen when I was attempting to purge the iPod from my life; I can say I have successfully done so after buying the DROID. However, like Pat here I initially found Listen to be sub-par. The feeds didn't get updated as quickly as they should have(I assume Google was proxying the feeds, which it seems like they improved). Also, prior to 1.1 Listen didn't parse the MythTVCast feed correctly.
I wouldn't call it great, but it is good enough at this point for me for a free, closed app. I've heard DoggCatcher is great but I'm a cheap bastard. I've thought about creating an open source podcast aggregator for Android but I just can't seem to find the time.

I use a program called my-pod on my android phone. I tried listen and I thought it sucked. I have tried doggcatcher too, but it wasn't for me, but it is a good program.
My-pod has tons of features but one of my favorites is that it can start a web server so you can manage your feeds by connecting to your android phone from your pc. I can't stand to type in feeds, though they also accept the google reader feeds, I prefer the web page interface.
Anyway, there are couple out there... I chose my-pod, but I know that doggcatcher is good too...

Listen was pretty bad, but they just updated it and its much better. i use google reader so its been nice to use it as my feed aggregator instead of searching with the phone.

Gonna checkout Listen again. It kinda sucked when it was first released. As all things Google things tend to improve pretty quickly.

yeah its gotten much easier. i just find a podcast's RSS feed and subscribe with goole reader, then move the feed to the listen folder in reader and its synced to my droids listen. the interface is still a little clunky but finding podcasts just got much easier if you use reader.
i just got my wife subscribed to "the parent experiment" so its fairly wife friendly.

hmmm... After I got my Nexus One I thought I would try Google's Listen app again. I am still not impressed. I am not willing to cut Google any slack for the horrid experience of searching for podcasts in this app. It seems to me that they creating a new search algorithm for looking for podcasts via the google app.
In addition, it appears they made an effort to intelligently integrate Listen with the browser, but it still falls on its face. I think they only look at file extensions in the URL's? I dunno, but I think Listen still has a ways to go IMHO...
However, the player component is nice. You can queue up podcasts and it will play them one after the other until you tell it to stop; which is kinda cool.
