Gmote Nexus One Demo on YouTube

Apologies in advance, these videos are only vaguely MythTV related in that it uses my MythTV music files. Gmote is not really designed to be a standard MythTV remote control. It is more than that. You could use the Gmote Touch (Touchpad) feature to be a remote for MythTV interface if you turn on the mouse pointer in MythTV but turning on the mouse pointer creates other issues. You can certainly browse and play your MythTV content outside of the MythTV interface with Gmote and VLC.

Below are links to my YouTube videos that demo the Gmote Android application. It is a client server application. The server application like the client is written in Java. So, the Java Runtime Environment 1.6+ is a requirement on your PC. The two features that appealed to me were music streaming and the Gmote Touch (Touchpad).
