USB-UIRT.... My GOD... This thing finally works!

It pays to never give up...
My first IR device was a USB-UIRT which worked great with windows but failed terribly as I made my move over to linux. So this box has been sitting in a drawer for years and I decided to give it one more try.
It works! It took a while to better understand lirc drivers and configs but it's happily working with my TV's remote driving my recent ION box. (you know... the quiet one I raved a few days ago.) Good thing the kernel and lirc have been updated.
I am a contented tv couch potato
