frontend videos and backend videos are causing issues

Post by lobosolo » Wed Jul 07, 2010 4:44 pm

strange issue with mythbuntu 10.4 64bit.

.i have in the living room a back/front end and in the bedroom i have a frontend ion machine. so i put my videos in the video folder on the backend machine. scan for changes and it picks up all my added movies. now if i go the the frontend and scan for changes it removes about half of the videos from the listing and then if i go down to the living room backend, i see that the videos are not listed there. but i can rescan for changes on that machine and they show up again.

is there a setting on the ion frontend that i missed ? or am i not supposed to scan for changes on a frontend.
