I went and tried the tweaks and so far I have to say very nice. Seems to have sped up firefox nicely.

I'm stuck at the office right now, but I tried the tweaks on my XP install of Firefox. The first one alone sped up the browser very nicely.

The first tweak, which they call "pipelining" has been known to cause problems. Apparently some web servers don't like multiple requests from the same IP address (if I remember right it bends the HTTP standard a bit). It may cause some sites to not work.

I just installed kanotix and got my wifi card working and firefox seems to have these options enabled by default. cool 8)
