I love will it blend! Blendtech is an awesome company for doing this! Great marketing. I find it interesting that when an apple product is blended it invariably results in a cloud if black "iSmoke!" Don't breath that!

I'm pretty sure I posted this here a few months ago. Ah well.

On a serious note, I'm actually in the market for a blender in this class, but will probably end up buying the vitaprep3 or waring xtreme with a vitamix container instead. The blendtec is so insanely loud it's hard to describe. It's like ear-damage loud. All blenders in the 11+ amp range are loud, but most are not that loud - at least part of it is their blade/container design. Lots of commercial places are switching from vitamix to blendtec, though, so they do make high quality blenders, you just need to include their "sound proof enclosure" to make them less anti-human.
