I can understand why these rumors are flying. Jobs looks very bad. I've known people who have been consumed by cancer. It's a very horrible way to go out. I don't like Apple or Steve Jobs but I wish him nothing but good health. Hopefully he's just retiring to spend more time with his family and do other things in life.

I watched part of the keynote for the notebook release, and he looks and acts healthy as ever in spite of his appearance. Remember that he's a vegan, so that might also be a factor to him being so thin. I thought the same thing too when I saw him looking like that the first time.
Of course, he could be holding back private information about the actual status of his health (which I think should stay private), but from his demeanor it sure looks like everything is fine so far.

Man was meant to eat meat. Great source of protein. Very tasty whether fried, bakes, broiled, BBQ'd. Mmmmmm, meat. If God didn't want us to eat meat he wouldn't have made so many tasty animals,

.
Steve does look way too thin. He needs some protein. Let's send him a box of meat,

I agree about being a carnivore. But in Europe for centuries meat was a luxury. People ate eggs, cheese, lentils, and nuts and such to satisfy protein needs. Even in the us, people would make chicken fried steaks to extend beef usage. Growing up in Texas when we actually raised beef here, it was dirt cheap. We had beef in some from or another every day. Every weekend dad would barbecue giant steaks. It is a hard habit to break. Though now I am a real fan of chicken, Beef is outrageously expensive now.,

Raising animals compared to pulses , vegetables and so on takes a hell lot more land , pollution , energy , water and other things .
I have thought about being one on and off , its just I like the taste of meat too much. I would like the treatment of the animals to be a lot better though. Rights are not just for humans.
