...according to Gizmodo's receipt of some leaked documents...

That unlocked price is making the N900 look a bit better if Nokia can drop it down to under $400 soon.

Somehow, I believe that Nokia is just giving lip service. Regardless of how good the N900 is, that lack of Nokia's marketing behind it leads me to believe that Google's N1 is going to sweep up the mindshare, especially now that Android is well entrenched.

Can't disagree with you. It certainly does seem that way. Nokia can't seem to muster the commitment to really market its smartphones and maemo os. And now it's just about too late for them even if they got serious. Android is about to make this game over for them.

I recently bought an unlocked Nexus One to replace my T-Mobile 'My Touch 3G'. I couldn't be happier! The Nexus One is a fantastic phone.

I have one too and sharing the love. Like it better than my Droid that I use for work.

When I bought the Nexus One, I thought increased speed and a newer version of android were going to be the key benefits. But every day with this phone brings more joy; more useful 'smart' features.

For example, when I make a call the phone recognizes when I take the phone away from ear and look at it. It activates the screen again, so I can easily press buttons on the keypad or end the call. Brilliant! Why didn't the MyTouch do that? I hated having to reactivate the screen when I needed to use the numpad during a call.

I also love the fact that I don't have to use a USB converter when I want to use earphones like I did with the MyTouch.

The processor is very fast. I understand that it is twice as fast as the myTouch, but it makes a huge difference. The keyboard seems to respond much quicker and I can do more with the Nexus without having it slow down. The myTouch interface would slow way down when I was downloading something. I don't notice any slowdown with the Nexus when I am downloading.

I am a complete Nexus One fanboy, it's pathetic!
