Linux on the GameCube

Post by Wally Balljacker » Thu Nov 17, 2005 11:46 pm

I've been following the guide to getting Linux running on my GameCube from GC-Linux.org, and I'm having alittle bit of trouble. I'm using the PSOload/NBD method and I think I finally have my local network setup correctly with the GC, but when I try booting, it hangs and says "nbdc: trying nbd server at 192.168.2.100:55321... sorry, bad password".

Is there something I need to due on my Linux box to allow my GC to connect to it? I'm sure there is a simple solution to this, but I have no experience with this. I've tried getting help on the official IRC channel, but they aren't very helpful.

Update*

I got some SNES and Genesis emulators, along with some homebrew stuff running on the GC over my network, so my hardware setup is definitely correct. It must just be a connection/server issue with GC-Linux and my PC.
