Asterisk ...arghhh my brain hurts

Post by kernoman » Sun Nov 20, 2005 3:28 pm

Hi Guys,

Anyone willing to help a poor fellow set up asterisk, im running the latest version along with AMP and x xlite softphones but so far I am having no luck. I have created 2 extensions and try to call from one PC to the other but it always comes back saying that the person is already on the phone and to leave a message even though I am not already on the phone... I am tearing my hair out can any one help?

thanks

A better place to ask may be the Aserisk-Users mailing list.

If you can post some more info I may be able to help out. I play around with Asterisk a lot.

If you can post the section of /etc/asterisk/extensions.conf and /etc/asterisk/sip.conf that relate to the xten clients. And also post the output of the console when you try to dial. I may be able to help.

To get the console output do a "asterisk -vvvr" on the asterisk server.
