How's it goin', Eh?
Just downloaded and listened to the latest episode and really enjoyed it. I'm even thinking of giving Slackware a try. Looking forward to next week's show.
You've got to motivate more of your local LUG to participate, I agree. I'm passing along your URL to the people I know.
Speaking about ISPs and Linux support... Last year I had problems with our cable modem and had to call up my ISP for someone to come out and replace it (the first time I called them since switching to Linux, compared to almost monthly calls when I was running MS-Windows).
Just out of curiosity, I asked the "Tech" if he knew if many of their customers running Linux. He said that it was difficult to say, since once these customers move to Linux they never hear from them again.
If that's not an endorsement of Linux I don't know what is.

Yes! We really need some of that advocasy that LUG RADIO enjoys!

I have heard that quite a bit on my ISP's newsfeed. My connection through Linux has *always* been rock solid.

That is what stinks about this. I would suspect that right now the majority of people who would call ISP's with questions about Linux connectivity would have a higher level of understanding regarding this type of technology. Thus, support turnover would more than likely be short when compared to the typical windows user.
But maybe I am biased here.
