I just found a near perfect solution to the issue of look and feel between KDE and GNOME programs. As a KDE addict I really like things to look shiny and fit right into the environment, I found a few things that does that almost flawlessly.
There is this theme called QtCurve, which is based on Red Hat's BlueCurve, but it doesn't uglify either KDE or GNOME, it actually makes both look a little like th Clearlooks GTK theme, but it looks very shiny.
