Is anyone using gizmo? I installed it on arch last night and while it runs, the sound quality is very poor. The audio in has a serous reverb to it. I tried it out on OS X and it was beautiful.

Perhaps it's just an arch compatiblity issue, which bums me out.

I got it installed on my laptop with Ubuntu. Unfortunately it doesn't want to recognize my Logitech usb headset (/dev/dsp1) no matter what I do. It's a shame because it looks like a pretty sweet program.

I tried Gizmo once a while back, but there was no-one else that I knew using it, preventing me from testing it out.

I've been using http://www.theswitchboard.ca a few times and it's pretty nice. It's based on Java which allows me to use my account no matter what PC I'm on, as I don't need a resident application pre-installed.

But, this info doesn't help answer your question. Oh well.
