Transparent Xfce panel

I remember hearing Dan and Linc talking about making the bottom panel in Xfce tranparent awhile back. I haven't found anything about it on Google. Anyone know how to do it? The bright white background is somewhat of an eyesore.

The Xfce FAQ provides the answers:

You may need to rebuild part of Xfce, but it builds easily. Overall, it's not very difficult.
