thanks for telling us about those superior apple products! I like the link about the Steve Jobs distortion field - LOL

a couple of months ago I upgraded my main worstation/server to a low budget amd64 machine and ended up putting suse 10 on it

I compiled a few programs on it and it just basically flies. it is the fastest machine I have ever had. from now on all my home machines will be an amd64 they aren't that much more expense than the 32 bit machines - I also like the way the chip is architectured. I think it is much better than Intel chips. I just hope amd stays away from treacherous computing when vista comes out.

anyway looks like suse 10.1 will be out may 11th :D

I'm going to try Suse 10.1 as my main workstation distro for at least a month to see how I like it.

unfortunately that benchmark will not penetrate the steve jobs personal euphoria field of most mac owners, its too strong!!
