I'm definitely going to try get these guys on the show. May be difficult since they're based in the Netherlands.

Well I've lined up Bassam Kurdali who is the director and is based in the States. We'll be speaking to him live. We just have to nail down a date. This looks very cool.

He's the directory, is he?

Must be difficult to remember where everything is located all of the time. The tools on my workbench go missing no matter how "organized" I try to be.

Fixed now! I'm off my game today. I came to work later than usual because of a meeting and I'm not quite right today.

I was just havin' a bit of fun with ya.
I think it's great that you were able to get Bassam on the show. That just goes to show the kind of respect TLLTS has gained from the Linux / GNU / open source world.
Good job!

You think? A lot of people still haven't heard of us. LWE has helped a little but it seems we're not reaching a lot of people. Maybe we should do a LUG tour and give a presentation on the show. We need to get more of the hardcore linux crowd behind us.

To be honest, as much as I love the show, if you really want to make a name for yourselves you'll probably have to do a canned podcast and hammer out the audio issues that often plague the show. Still, you guys are the only podcast I listen to that I've donated money to, so you must be doing something right

Well, it could be just my perception, but it seems as though many of the more recent guests you've had on mentioned listening to the show previously.
Some of them are obviously listening.
At the very least, you can say that the "hard core Linux crowd" don't go running when they get an e-mail from Pat at TLLTS. I suppose no reputation is better than a bad reputation... but I like to think it's because you guys do such a good job and let people have their say without being rushed or cut off.
If I were a celebrity, I'd rather do your show than, say, Leo L.'s "Call for Help", or something. Now there's a buch of people wearing rose coloured glasses.

I've created a Digg article with last nights interview:

I watched the movie last night a few times before the show and I kind of got the same "story" idea out of it as Bassam described; That being that it was a world that one person seemed to control, but was then being manipulated by another person, until he got his head bashed in.
The only thing I can criticize about the movie is that I would have felt compelled to use more realistic lighting techniques.
This was most apparent in the last scene, when the two characters where in the small tiled room with all of the pipes. There were a couple of fluorescent lights on the ceiling (one of them broken and flickering), yet the room seemed to be well lit. So much so that it seemed to me like the walls, floors, and pipes were glowing or emitting their own light. I could not identify the light sources.
This took me out of the environment and enforced the idea that I was watching an animation. It just didn't fit what you'd get in "real" life. I just felt it would have been more of a immersive environment if some of the elements in it mimicked real life, so the viewer could relate more to it.
Other than that, the production is very impressive. I was most impressed with the textures.... the lead character's sweater, the worn out red carpet under the telephone table... very nice.

After listening to the interview last night I watched the movie. I really liked it, and I loved the animation. I thought that the story was pretty good, where different people could have different interpretations of what it was exactly about. For me, I thought it made a statement that no matter how much you have the world by the balls, someone else can change things in an instance.
The thing that I liked the most was the fact that it reminded me a lot of "liquid TV" that used to play on MTV (before it sucked

) I hope that they inspire others to make more movies.
I went over to digg and dugg your story as well.
