Kororaa project asked to halt development

It seems that the guy behind the excellent Kororaa XGL live CD project has gotten an email asking to stop distribution, due to the ATi/NVIDIA proprietary drivers being bundled together. This is pretty ridiculous if you ask me.

Well, the GPL disallows linking to non-Free software, but I wonder why Mandriva never has gotten heat for doing this, because they do it in their commercial packs.

It doesn't mention WHO sent the e-mail though... at least from what I could tell. So, something sounds fishy to me, especially in which the manner "clause 2 " of the GPL is being referred to.

Maybe the Kororaa guy is looking for some publicity or somebody's yankin' his chain.
