Xubuntu?

Post by doublejoon » Fri Jun 02, 2006 10:38 am

I blew away my pclinuxos partition to try "dapper". I'm not much of a Gnome/KDE fan . So I tried Xubuntu. the new XFCE desktop seems to be pretty slick and still quick...

Anyone else try Xubuntu "Dapper"?

I just installed xubuntu today. I just downloaded xubuntu and kubuntu 6.06 yesterday. This morning I boot up my xp box and the motherboard fries. How's that for timing? So I grab my old Duron 750 box with 384MB that I haven't been using and quickly throw xubuntu on it. The total install took a very snappy 25 minutes from the live cd. I have to say I'm really likeing it and it seems very responsive.

I am seriously considering trying it. I may but it on one of my partitions.

I have arch on one hard drive and Kubuntu and Ubuntu on the other. I was seriously considering to put vector over top of Ubuntu but maybe I will try Xubuntu as it sounds pretty sweet.
