Firefox Question(textbox and dropshadow)

My question deals with textboxes. For instance like the search textbox at google.com. Under windows and firefox the textbox at google has a blue line all the way around it which clearly defines the textbox. Under linux and firefox the textbox has a dropshadow on the top and left side but the bottom and right side basically just blends into the background. Especially white background.
It's not that I dislike the dropshadow but I much prefer the textbox to have a clearly defined perimeter.
Is there a way I can adjust some settings to get that clearly defined perimeter in linux firefox?
Thanks for any help.
P.S. Most of the text entry boxes at this forum have a clearly defined perimeter. The top and left are dropshadowed and the bottom and right are a lighter blue than the background. Also the background of the textbox has a gradient which further defines the textbox.
