Install Debian testing

Post by Chess » Fri Jul 14, 2006 4:15 pm

It's been several years since I installed Debian proper, and after hearing Linc talk about it on the show the other night, well, I decided I needed to do just that on a spare box. :)

So, what's the best way to get a testing installation going -- use the stable netinstall disk and then apt-get dist-upgrade to testing, or use one of the weekly or daily testing snapshot disks, or something else?

I'd try the network install of the Etch Beta 2 release. If you want to check out the new graphical installer, grab one of the daily built images.

Thanks, Wally -- I'll do just that.
