Issues with my new Linksys WRT54G router

I finally went wireless today, and replaced my 4 year old Belkin wired router with a WRT54G. Unfortunately I'm having a problem.. I can't get my router to communicate with the DSL modem. Now, I can SSH into any machine on my network with the router, and can even connect my laptop to the WRT54G wirelessly using WPA encryption. I'm stumped here, I'm online with my old router right now, and I can use my new router with my LAN, but I can't get it to connect to the web. Any suggestions?

What is the WAN config on your old router compared to the new?

Not knowing your DSL setup, you may be on a PPoE and need to configure the new router for that with your ISP's username/password.

Another possiblity is that the DSL router needs to be reset due to MAC address conflicts.

Good Luck!

reboot the dsl converter too. then reboot the router again and then refresh all dhcp connections.

Still no luck with that Linksys box and my Verizon DSL modem. I ended up returning it to the store and picked up a D-Link DI-524, which worked out of the box for everything. No fuss.
