According to this guy, "Linux OS just as bloated as Windows" and "Linux in my view is in the state that makes it roughly equivalent to a windows 95 beta, more complex and mature than Windows 3.3 but still not ready for general release."

don't even know why I am replying to this because the article is so stupid but
Collectively, myself and a circle of friends, represent about 200 years worth of computing experience, and we are all looking to jump from the bloated Microsoft Windows platform.
Currently my network card is configured at 10 Mb/s even though it's a 100 Mb/s card. No facilities other than a text editor are available to change the configuration whereever it is
wonder how much he got paid for spewing this garbage - if him and his friends represent 200 years of computer experience then he would know ethtool can set the speed and other parameters of the card. I doubt they have 2 years experience.

To comment on something, don't bash the site, because as it says "This site is a wiki, which means anyone can edit the text.".
And, also, I thought that Linux had more than 25% of the server market. Windows 3.3? There wasn't a 3.3.
Also, 200 people with a year of computing experience has 200 years in total, so making a statement like that doesn't mean much, because you dont know how many people he's counting.

200yrs doesnt seem to me that much. Can I just say, I have 20 years here. I got a computer when I was six, and immediately got into BASIC programming, and had real programs at 8. At 27 now, I can see how that shaped my tastes and affinity for computing in general. 9 more of me or 6 more older guys that got to play with VAX's for their day job could also round it out wouldnt be unheard.

Remember, the city manager of Tuttle Oklahoma has "22 years in computer systems engineering and operation." Maybe scott and Jerry are friends! If you missed that story, click here:
