webmin on distro

Mandriva has the option to install drakewizard. It adds webmin and some addons to the mandriva control center. The add-ons allow a noob to quickly get apache with user dir, ftp, kolab and others up and running quickly. Then Webmin for more fine control. Also webmin is dead simple to configure for security. Log in time outs, attempts, allowed IP. For a quick mandriva install run through with drakewizard http://www.here2serve.biz/mandriva_installl Yes I know my site is web 1.0 and really needs love. Sorry about the quality of the screen shots. Webmin is your friend google is just O.K

Nice.

Yes, Mandriva makes using Webmin very easy, indeed.

Recently, I installed eGroupWare (which Mandriva also makes easy to install). I'm not all that knowledgeable about MySQL - which eGroupWare relies upon - but Webmin even makes managing MySQL databases a simple thing to do.

It's a very powerful tool. I'm glad that Mandriva has given Webmin a lot of attention and support.

I'm only about 1/2 way thru last week's show, but have to say Webmin is cool stuff. Don't know that it would have alleviated any pain on my recent LAMP setup, but it definitely is a hell of a management tool, especially on a basic Slack system.

Very cool, quick, graphical remote access to access logs , access to sendmail, and I know I've only scratched the surface of what it can do.

Good deal, thanks for the show.
