Hey guys,

Just tuned in your show for the first and (most likey last) time. The whole hour was spent virtually on nothing with one guy doing all the blabbering. I'd like to learn something when I tune in, but this was not the case. Make the show interesting like the Lug Radio guys!

Also, a horrible review of Ubuntu Linux which is literally sweeping the nation getting rave reviews by everyone but you. What did you expect trying to load it on a 10 year old machine? Try loadind XP on that hunk of junk and tell me what happens. Keep on trucking brothers.....

Sorry you are not enjoying the show. But hey, we cannot please everyone. Perhaps you should listen to a few more episodes before you give us the kiss of death.

I'm trying to recall what you are talking about here. The review I did of Ubuntu Linux was very positive. My review was not on a 10 year-old machine but on one that was merely four years old. Ubuntu ran great. Our only issue dealt with the contention between free and non-free software. As this review was based upon a new user with little technical prowess, it was an area of roughness that was discussed.

Perhaps you are talking about the review that Linc gave as to his experience installing it on his wife's primary system. While that is an older machine, his problems with the install had nothing to do with Ubuntu and everything to do with failing hardware. Once he worked out these issues Ubuntu was up and running with fanfare. He had nothing but positive things to say.

If you listen to any of our shows since the late fall you will realize that we praise Ubuntu very highly.

Does LUG Radio do "call ins"? I don't think so.

Shows like LUG Radio are entertaining, but the crew at TLLTS really try to connect with their listenters. I know that's difficult to do on a show that pre-recorded (like LUG-R), but that is what makes TLLTS different.

Like Linux itself, one Internet show can't be everything to everyone. If you feel you can do differently and better, Linux Nut, then by all means post the link to your Internet show here so we listen in.

By the way, I don't really think Ubuntu is everything it's being made out to be. There's better out there.

We both do different things with our shows. The call-ins are one of the things I particularly enjoy about TLLTS.

Exactly, Matt. I listen to and enjoy both shows for different reasons.

But, the real reason I listen to both is because you all talk about Linux, which is very much worth talking about.

Both, LUG-R and TLLTS, really amaze me at how both groups keep coming up with entertaining and informative shows week after week.
