Theora file

The theora file is up for download, here is the url:

<a href="http://www.tllts.info/archives/tllts_tv ... lts_tv.ogg </a> (I suggest the old right click, save link as option).

You will need a player that support theora, I suggest starting at: <a href="http://www.theora.org">theora.org</a>.

The file size is about 12mb.

As for the avi I talked about on the show, this was an uncompressed avi file. I used ffmpeg to convert it to an mpeg file and the resulting size was 14 mb in size.

This is using just the default options.

I must start running tests on Theora myself.

It played here no worries at all in Totem (xine), Gxine and mplayer.

Its actually an OGM (OGG Multimedia Container) container its in. The extension .ogm would be accurate as ogg is assumed no video stream in the OGM.

But thats just me being pedantic.

That is a pretty good quality file. I haven't seen a better example of Theora. The video played under Mplayer and Xine with no problem; I had to recompile Mplayer and Xine with Theora support but that didn't take too long.

I wonder if you guys have tried mpeg2theora to make some video convertion and have any suggested parameter set.
