Have you guys ever tried to get Matt Dillon, founder of the DragonFly BSD project on? They just released version 1.8, and it seems like it would be interesting to hear about some of their reasons for forking from FreeBSD, and what their goals for the future are.

Matt Dillon has also been working on porting Sun's ZFS to DragonFly BSD, I'd love to hear some stuff about that.

If your into the reasons why DragonFlyBSD came about its basically because the Freebsd does not scale too well distributed systems, well at least from the direction matt dillion believes it should go. This has been pointed out various times in the Freebsd mailing list.
Those mailing list are damn usefull, someone could easily make a book out of it.

If your do not want to read through the DragonFlyBSD website , which explains why , what and where the project is and going you could listen to a couple of bsdtalk interview from last year.

Cool! I already have a question for him. Ask him what it was like doing the scene with denise richards in Wild Things.

I'm using BSD quite a lot these days, by the end of this upcoming weekend I will have four boxes in my house all running OpenBSD.

Nothing at all wrong with the BFD. I, myself, have been a long time NetBSD advocate. I just wish they would pull their head out of their ass sometime soon so that I can continue to do so. Perhaps it's time for me to revisit Free and Open BSD!

It really is not very hard to get by, you just need the "a", maybe "b", "p" and "m" buttons and the number keys.
