Sun SPARC advise (Linc?)

I'd like to pick up a cheap SPARC box for under $100 to play around with Linux. After doing a quick eBay search, there seems to be alot of old Sun hardware floating around, and I have no idea what I'm looking at. Would you recommend a Sun Ultra or a Sun Blade? Anything specific I should look out for?

I would go for a nicely configured Ultra 2. They run debian real nice (I still need to try Ubuntu on them).

I've been thinking the same thing. I emailed Linc a few weeks ago about some local sales in Craigslist, but I never went through with it.
I was perusing the local ads in Craigslist and saw this, for an Ultra 5:

$30 for the box, monitor, and keyboard.
I also found a Blade 100 for $80, looks nice and clean.

I'm thinking about picking one of 'em up.

blade 100 for less than $100 is a very good deal. Ultra 60's seem to be under $100 on ebay as well. If you're willing to go up to maybe $200 or $250, you can get a gigantic sun enterprise server that you can sometimes find on craigslist (though I wouldn't want to pay ebay shipping on one of those suckers).
