Clocking Connection Speeds

I was just curious as to what the connection speeds some people here are getting with their ISPs.

I just moved from cable over to DSL and I've been clocking my service at around the 3,800 kbps mark for download and 519 kbps for upload.

The upload seems a bit slow, but the download speed is pretty good I think. What are you folks getting on average with your connection?

Another thing I noticed with switching over to DSL, my list of packets dropped/blocked by my firewall has dropped immensely.

That little activity LED on my modem now only flashes when I'm using the Net... and not the relentless flow of traffic that was on the cable connection.

I can get nearly 500kbps down and 128kbps up on a DSL line. ADSL will always have a a much higher download rate than up.

I realize this is slow by today's standards. At work I've seen 20000kbps upload speeds. :D
