when is 2.5 release expected?

I would ask, why doesn't the linux kernel team work better with openswan?
It seems to me their changes alientate openswan (of recent) and do more harm
then good.
Can he explain Opportunistic encryption and if he believes, like some do, that it
should be used much more often then it is.
How much resources at openswan (and xelerance) are used for MS windows based issues and coding for compatability with MS, then the resources that are used purely within the linux/unix wolrd.
Has the xelerance openswan "relationship" been a good example of a commercial venture having also a opensource "front" to it, and that this is a sucess? I ask this because, Paul contributes to the community big time (just look at his contribution to the mail list, etc), and I hope this pays off for him.
Why would or wouldn't it be appropriate for openswan to follow the alsa example, and get put into the kernel, and thus, this incompatability we see at times would be extremely minimized.
Have you had correspondaence with Linus over the years with respect to openswan, and if so, what does he think of it.
What distro(s) do you use.
How did you get started in this area.
Is there an interesting story (gossip) as to why freeswan became openswan?

and on that note, is/has the book been a worth while endevour for you.
What do you think of GPL3? RMS - love him, hate him, don't care?
Overall, to make openswan what it is today, what portion is the community and what portion is xelerance, of resources to make it happen. It seems to me , unlike many opensource projects, openswan seems like it get a good contribution to its sucess from xelerance.
Any thought to another book on more advanced vpn use? like vpn with redundant networking/routing, etc.
Is openswan (or a derivative of) used in any linux devices you know of, or hardened linux firewall commercial products, like checkpoint, etc.

I have pretty much everything I need for, i think, a long long time. Having said that, what inovations are there on the horizon for openswan (or vpn tech. in general)?
