Troll Overpopulation on Google Groups

Does anyone else still visit usenet? I am completely amazed at how ignorant some of the trolls are on comp.os.linux.advocacy . It seems that ever since Google made it easy to pull up usenet, there has been more and more worthless crap inside the Linux groups.

I originally wanted to join in and help talk about Linux in a high traffic area, but lately it makes me want to round up a posse and handle it "Texas-style".

Here's an example:

My reaction to some of these people has been "Listen, it's just not for you. You will never understand."

Anyone have any advice on how to help this situation or am I wasting my time on these groups?

I'm going to go with the wasting-your-time option. Trolls have unlimited resources.
