Well, I couldn't resist. Two guys at work got an iphone and I was really impressed.
I have had it for a couple of hours and I'm very pleased.
Maybe one of these days we will have an itunes client for linux.

I think it comes out at about $1000 if you count the phone plus $20 more per month service (2 year contract).
So you aren't actually that far off hehe.
