I'm probably not the first to think of this ..... and forgive me because I'm about 2 weeks behind on all my podcasts.... but Now that the court found that SCOs UNIX claims are really Novell's Intellectual property ... and Novell is in bed with Microsoft .... What kind of interesting possibilities does this conjure up??? Will M$ bankroll it's new buddy Novell to enforce it's patents?? Does this indemnify M$ against any violations of UNIX patents??? Did M$ see this coming that's why they did the deal with Novell???
:?

I don't believe in demonzing people more than they deserve, and Novell has already said that they don't think there's any UNIX code in Linux, and even if they were to change their mind, they have distributed Linux themselves, which would essentially put that UNIX code under GPL.

I really do not like what Novell did in November last year, but I believe in giving credit where credit is due, and they have spent a shitton of money on killing SCO, I believe in giving them a pat on the back for that, and a knee strike to the gut for doing the patent deal
