Windows Power Shell vs Linux Bash Shell

Post by mowestusa » Fri Aug 24, 2007 8:31 pm

If you can get it to work. Try watching the following.

Go to this MS site and watch the screen cast for the comparison between MS Power Shell and Linux Shell.

Maybe I'm just missing it, but it proves that Windows is far more clunky than Linux. This was posted to my Lug's mailing list, and we are getting a great laugh out of it.

well ZSH is the holy grail of shells , it was interestingly that m$ have changed from everything in a gui to this new shell. I guess their are trying to compete with Linux again.

For anyone who is interested in watching that , grab .wvx file , open up that file with a text editor , download the url in the file and then watch the .wmv stream.....

Which should be doable with something like MPlayer or VLC, which uses FFmpeg's reverse engineered WMV support. Hopefully no need for proprietary crud to watch this.
