In Austria we use 900/1800Mhz...

Where are you getting this information from? I've searched around and the only thing I can find is apparently a fud blog posting which is refuted here.

Apparently the neo1973 is a "quadband worldwide gsm headset" - that's from the posting. If you look at the neo1973 specs from the openmoko site you will see that it is listed as triband: http://www.openmoko.com/products-neo-ba ... tdkit.html

Yes, the spec says triband and no 850Mhz. This was updated recently with quad and 850 removed.

Thanks for those links, Pat. Man that really sucks. I had just started to get my hopes back up, but now they are back down again. What a fiasco! I blame the cellphone providers!
