I have had issues with firefox lately mostly the fact that all of a sudden I cannot log into my banks website in linux using firefox, but from firefox in windows I can! I tried epiphany and galeon as well, none work, but I installed opera and boom it works!

I have semi-hated Firefox for a while now. My opinion of Firefox is that it's a slow and unstable browser. It doesn't surprise me though, Mozilla don't give a sh!t about us Linux users, one example: http://wiki.mozilla.org/Firefox3/Firefo ... rm_Support.
Also, look at the memory requirements for Firefox on Linux and compare it to Firefox on Windows: http://wiki.mozilla.org/Firefox3/Firefo ... quirements.
I mostly use Konqueror these days, and been VERY happy with it.
I know that GNOME is working towards using WebKit as the HTML rendering engine for Epiphany, maybe they too hate Gecko!

Might have something to do with the fact that you're running it under GNOME, because this is far from what I experience. Say I have 10 tabs open, which I do quite often, then it takes almost a second to switch between them, and it takes like three to five seconds to start up. With Konqueror, even with 25 tabs, when I change tab, it snaps over like instantly. Also, even when I start it for the first time, it rarely takes more than a second to start. I once ran it under Fluxbox, and it only took two seconds to start.Wally Balljacker wrote:It's faster than Konqueror, renders better, is more intuitive, and supports a ton of great extensions.

I don't believe I have ever had 25 tabs open...
I use Konq for 99% of my browsing, and FF for the other 1% on linux. I use FF for 99% of my browsing and IE for the other 1% on windows. I have never cared much for Opera - back when I would have considered it, I preferred Mozilla.
