I installed dd-wrt (x86) on an old pentium II to play with it before I put it on my router, Does anyone have any experience or suggestions with this software?

I've been running it on my router for about 8 months. I don't have many exotic needs so I don't use a lot of the features. What I can say is that before that I ran sveasoft and I was always having funky network issues that seemed to clear up with a router reboot. With dd-wrt I don't seem to get the same issues and I never have to reboot the router.
Im running Firmware: DD-WRT v23 SP2 (09/15/06) std.
You know I haven't thought about the firmware in so long what is the current version?

The web page says dd-wrt v24 rc6. I think it dated 01/02/08. I might like to possibly use it even for just the ddns feature alone. Thanx for the input.

I have been using it on a linksys router flawlessly for about 18 months. Would be interested on how this works on an pc. Should be quicker. I have an old PC that I have bee thinking of doing this but have just been procrastinating. My setup would require a wireless AP.(recommendations??) Just crawl around in the config tabs. Most of the settings will be site specific. There are two that I would recommend. Both in the Administration>management tab.
Setting bootwait to on will help if you ever need to recover.
bootwait on
The following will take much of your information out of public view.
web acess enable site info off
