As per the discussion on the 5/5 show, what Linux are you running on your PPC and what are your thoughts and suggestions?
Again, I am running Yellowdog 3 and It's "ok". I have this problem with rpm dependancies and can't seem to get the X and framebuffer settings *just right*.
Also for some reason I *cannot* get a dvd to play. This is the error(s) I get:

It ahs world read write and execute and I can mount from my account. Also tried from root account with exact same results.dann wrote:have you tried giving your account read and execute permssions on the dvd device? I had this problem with slack the other day after moving back to ide from scsi. New device old permisssions.
