I noticed an icon for this website in firefox on my Kanotix system:
http://klik.atekon.de/

Basically it's a way to install applications in a simple one-click manner. The apps are compressed images of the applications containing all the dependencies. It was originally designed for use in Knoppix. I tried installing LPhoto and Adobe Acrobat. They both work fine. Anyone have experience using this system? It seems to be supported in the Debian based distros. Interesting

Yes, I use Klik every now and again. Used it to install RealPlayer recently. I think it's a great tool for those not comfortable/familiar with Synaptic and apt-get. Just click and in a few minutes the app. is on your desktop.

Very similar to Linspire's Click-n-run warehouse... but FREE!

The slogan of the site is to make all Debian apps "Klick-able".

I like Klik and I run "Real Player" and "Lsongs" with it or through it. I think it is a ingenius "program" if thats what you call it.

I thought you had to use Konquorer to access install Klik programs? I never tried to use it through Firefox. Does Firefox work with it out of curiosity? I guess I will try and see.

So many of the LApps are available through it? I'm very interested in LSongs - it may not have much of a library (dunno, really) but I think it's a very important project. I'll be installing kanotix on my testing box this weekend, and if I like it, it may end up on my lappy - it ran beautifully from CD.

Edit: after doing some homework, I realized that the Lsongs "locker" is just mp3tunes.com.
