Is there a stream recorder for Linux?

Post by LinuxMint-4 » Mon Jun 30, 2008 5:04 pm

Is there a stream recorder for Linux?

For Windows there is a program called REPLAY RADIO by Applian, you can record audio streams and schedule it to record anytime much like a VCR and play it back later as a MP3. http://www.applian.com/replay-av/

I am looking for the same type of stream recorder for Linux, either free or for a cost. is there anything out there for Linux?

Thanks

VLC can record streams, it cannot schedule them though. The only way you can do this would be to get down to the command line and write some cron jobs for vlc recording, not particular elegant, but it will work.
